Put a handsome bunch of the Hurley Burly Delicious Dozen, some heart-stealing rescue dogs, and a group of kind-hearted women who just want to have fun together at the same event and, what have you got?

Diamonds are Furever.

The Prince George Humane Society would like to promise that what happens at its Feb. 29 ladies-only fundraiser at the Coast Hotel stays at the Coast Hotel.

Be warned though — there will be photos of how much fun everyone had.

“It’s all about bringing women together so they can let their hair down and we can showcase what we do,” says Angela McLaren, the founder and executive director of the Prince George Humane Society.

And who wouldn’t want to let their hair down with the models of the Hurly Burly Booty Calendar? These fine gentlemen, who are willing to bare almost-all to raise money for local charities, will be the evening’s star attraction. They’ll be selling 50/50 tickets, hosting the Heads and Tails game, and pose for photos in the boudoir photoshoot.

But they’ll have to compete for the guests’ oohs and aahs — and maybe even a few gasps — during the evening’s runway show. Each model will be paired with a dog that has found a loving home thanks to the humane society. It promises to be a very revealing look at how much these men care about animals.

Emceeing the evening are two hilariously funny women. The Dirrty Show doesn’t just keep their audiences laughing with their “Double R-rated” sense of humour, as guests at last November’s Hurly Burly Booty discovered. They throw in musical entertainment as well.

Guests should also be prepared to fall in love with some of the dogs who are being cared for at the humane society’s shelter. They’ll be melting hearts as they mingle with the crowd and are available for adoption.

The Prince George Humane Society is 100 per cent donor funded. “If we don’t have the support of the community, we can’t keep our doors open,” McLaren says.

Diamonds are Furever kicks off a new fundraising strategy for the Charity. The tickets are $60 each and include appetizers. And although this is an evening for women only, husbands are encouraged to buy tickets for their wives. After all, “happy wife, happy life,” right?

The evening promises to be very popular so women are advised to get their tickets here before they sell out.
