“Last year’s ‘Booze & Build – A Maker Night for Adults’ was a huge success,” says Aisha Hamis, a public programmer at Two Rivers Gallery. “The event offers a chance for adults to let loose and have fun, to remember what it is like to be a kid again, to play and experiment.”

Come solo, as a couple or with your best friends.

Playing is not just for kids. It’s a great chance to have some fun, enjoy a beer or sip wine while making art.

Drop-in and out of activities as you like, and if you need a break from creating, wander through the gallery’s exhibitions and gift shop.

“There will be some Valentine's themed art,” explains Hamis. “You can create stop-motion love stories, blind date drawings and local artist Wendy Framst will help you make zentangled bookmarks you can leave in a favourite romance novel. It’s a great social evening where you can meet others or simply enjoy making on your own.”

There will be lots of new things to try and demos to see. Check out the 3D printer and vacuum former in action, sculpt with Model magic, and engage in many other one-of-a-kind activities.

This year’s event will be held on Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14, from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person (10% discount for members). The admission includes one drink ticket, as well as all creative materials and snacks. Local craft beer from Crossroads Brewing, wine and cider will be available. Additional drink tickets are $5.

It’s a night like no other so don’t miss out. Buy tickets online, call 250-614-7800, or visit the Two Rivers Gallery website for more information www.tworiversgallery.ca.
