The UNBC Timberwolves can't win for losing.

They dropped their eighth-straight game Friday night, falling 76-74 to the Brandon Bobcats in the first game of a weekend U Sports Canada West Conference doubleheader between the two teams on Friday night in front of 574 fans at the Northern Sport Centre.

Leading the way for the T-wolves were Tyrell Laing who scored 19 points and one rebound and Saje Gosal who scored 16 points and pulled in 4 rebounds. Anthony Tsegakele with 24 points and 12 rebounds and Shun WIlliams with 18 points and two rebounds were the top scorers for the Bobcats.

The loss sees UNBC's record now sit a 4-10 while the win moves Brandon to 2-13 on the season.

The same two teams hit the hardwood at Northern Sport Centre on Saturday night with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
