The Prince George Spruce Kings have suspended 20-year-old forward Cole Todd until arrangements can be made to trade him.

Kings general manager Mike Hawes said Todd returned home to North Vancouver last week after the two sides reached a "mutual agreement."

"He was unhappy with his current role on the team," said Hawes. "And he would like a change of scenery."

The six-foot-two 185-pound Todd spent the last two seasons with the Spruce Kings. He appeared in 53 games in 2014-15 and tallied 12 goals, 17 assists and 56 penalty minutes.

In four games this season, Todd was held off the score sheet.

The 1-4-0-1 Kings picked up three out of a possible four points at the B.C. Hockey League Showcase in Chilliwack on the weekend. They beat Trail 6-3 Saturday for their first victory of the season and dropped a 2-1 double overtime decision to Victoria on Sunday.

Prince George hosts the Cowichan Valley Capitals Friday and the Penticton Vees Saturday. The puck drops at 7 at the Coliseum on both nights.
