Eagles soar to victory over Kings in BCHL action

The Prince George Spruce Kings and Surrey Eagles hit the ice at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena on Saturday night for the back half of their weekend double header.

The Surrey Eagles were victorious taking this game by a score of 4-1 and sweeping the weekend series.

Corey Cunningham potted his sixteenth goal of the season for the Spruce Kings in the loss while Brandon Santa Juana, Owen Nolan, Hudons Schandor, and Gabe Schovanek were the goal scorers for the Eagles.

Kings goaltender Jett Alexander made 15 saves on 19 shots while Eagles netminder Reece Klassen picked up the win making 27 stops on 28 shots on goal.

With the win Surrey's record now stands at 17-19-2-4-0 and they sit 7 points ahead of the Kings who hold a record of 14-23-2-3-0.

Attendance for the game was 761.
