Condors, Viqueens beaten again at provincials

The Duchess Park Condors came into the triple-A girls basketball championship ranked ninth. They'll have a chance to finish the season a couple rungs higher on the B.C. ladder. The Condors will play for seventh place Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

The Condors will play for seventh place Saturday at 11:30 a.m. against Valleyview of Kamloops in their final game at the 16-team tournament in Langley.

Duchess Park dropped to 1-2 Friday when the North Central zone champion Condors lost 64-56 to South Kamloops.

At the double-A provincial championship, also being played in Langley, the Nechako Valley Viqueens of Vanderhoof lost 59-43 Friday to Southridge of Surrey. Nechako Valley will face the loser of the Pacific Christian-Lambrick Park playoff in Saturday's 10 a.m. battle for ninth place.

The senior boys provincial tournament start next week in Langley.
