Manners? Many of the youth of today are wonderfully helpful and have excellent manners.
In response to Doreen Neudorf's letter in Jan. 20 Citizen, please don't assume because a few young people did not come to the help of the stuck woman that all young people are as uncaring.
That same day, I got stuck as I drove into the parking lot at the Aquatic Centre. Before I even got out of my car, a young man came right over and tried to push me out.
When that didn't work, he went back to his own car and got a shovel. I got out and got my own shovel from my trunk so that I could shovel on the opposite side of the car.
Before I could start, up stepped a young lady saying,"I can do that for you."
With the two of them shoveling and then pushing, the car was soon freed so that I could move into a parking space.
Thank you so much to both of these young people. I am sure you are much more representative of today's young people than the ones Neudorf had the unfortunate encounter with.
