You must be patient

Why are we surprised that our streets are not plowed? We should be used to the fact that we, as taxpayers, serve only one purpose, which is to promote whatever addle-headed promotions, schemes, trips, conferences, etc.

Why are we surprised that our streets are not plowed? We should be used to the fact that we, as taxpayers, serve only one purpose, which is to promote whatever addle-headed promotions, schemes, trips, conferences, etc. the mayor and her group can dream up. Trips to China started with Colin Kinsley and successive mayors have fallen in love with it, claiming success after success, when in fact, nothing was accomplished. A further bit of aggrandizement comes in the form of the Winter Games for next year. Why is it the responsibility of the Prince George taxpayer to provide a venue to accommodate a group of sports participants in their efforts of personal recognition? We do not provide this type of support to the young people who wish to pursue a profession and who's value to society would mean something. Have the broken bones resulting from a legitimate accident ever been repaired by a top ranked skier? Not likely. Instead, skiers have taken advantage of orthopedic facilities many times to the detriment of other legitimate needs. Have sledding, snowboarding, bobsled, luge, figure skating or speed skating ever found a cure for a disease? They have instead found diseases in other countries and in many instances brought them back to share with us.

To everyone who is wondering about our street clearing, I have only this to say. You must be patient. Green needs the money for her various expenditures, but also for the Winter Games which she and her crowd have committed us to. We can expect to have very clean streets during these games, but after that it's anyone's guess.

As for us, what we can do is ensure that she and her group is not around to take their bows during the 2015 Winter Games Ceremonies.
