Why YMCA? Why?
I recently picked up information on the annual kids road race from the YMCA. I was greatly disappointed to see their choice of sponsorship was the Northern Gateway Pipeline. Such a controversial topic up in the north. Why align yourself with that? The Y is to support healthy persons and environments. With the potential risks of an oil pipeline to the environment and with the lack of a flawless safety record that Enbridge has, it doesn't sound supportive. I hope the YMCA will see the errors of their decision and will seek other supports for next year's race.
