Regarding an article in Monday's Citizen. City council has come up with another cash grab. Taxing people for covering their lot as it is a burden on the storm sewer system. Possibly $570 to $116.
I bought my lot which included all city services to property line. My responsibility to connect (was not free). Taxes were paid on the money I earned. My property is taxed every year by the city.
My point is these services are bought and paid for already,another pile of money is just going to go into general revenue just like the lease in lease out deal with Terasen gas. (Money was for infrastructure)
Stay out of our wallets if not providing any extra service.
