This past week we had our recycling picked up or so we thought, but after they left my husband went out to bring in the containers and, to his dismay, we were left a notice stating one container was not being picked up.
The container in question had two cereal boxes with liners removed, the box was broken down and folded in half but was accidentally put in the wrong container. Not a tragic event but it is according to the recycle people. They were right on top of the container and the person picking up could just have easily taken two seconds to throw them in the other container and be on their way but they had to take the extra time to fill out the notice and the reason why it was not being picked up.
Talk about the height of laziness.
Whatever happened to the days where a worker would do people a favour and throw them in the other container, empty both and be on my way? Guess those days are gone. No cookies for you at Christmas.
