I have followed with some interest what has been happening just north of our fair city with regards to the effects that dumping city sewage has on the property, environment and even the potential effects on well water.
I find it hard to believe when there is an issue that is as serious as this that the city would continue to march on the road of potential damage when it has such far-reaching effects. Anyone can make an error, but to have your attention brought to a serious matter such as this and not stop doing potential damage until a good independent study is done ranks as a form of bigotry that should be unheard of in a place like Canada; especially when we consider the emphasis placed on the environment these days.
It is obvious that something wrong is happening here. The people in the Wright Creek road area are good, hard-working, fair citizens and should be seriously considered. These are not rabble rousers. The city could easily stop and take note, find another area to dump while a fair unbiased study of this matter is carried out.
I trust others in our city and region are not being treated with this kind of inconsideration over serious issues like these. Here is an example of where what appears to be absolute power which in a literal way may corrupt absolutely. Let's be sure there is not a case and then have to undo huge damage at high cost down the road.
Bottom line... Why not be reasonable?
