Word nerd finds inspiration in P.G.

Jessica Quinn is a self-professed "word nerd" who is just as comfortable with her nose in a book as she is exploring the northern BC wilderness.

Jessica Quinn is a self-professed "word nerd" who is just as comfortable with her nose in a book as she is exploring the northern BC wilderness. With a love of storytelling in her nature, she pursued a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication and now puts her skills to work double time on a daily basis: Jessica is not only a Communications Officer for Northern Health, but has also launched her own social media marketing business.

The many activities in Prince George, like the ones listed on takeonPG.com, allow Jessica to easily escape boredom: she enjoys hiking the Fort George Canyon (No. 103), "relieving stress" at the shooting range (No. 57) and snowshoeing at Tabor Mountain (No. 86). When she looks up at the night sky, Jessica always searches for Cassiopeia, the constellation that holds a star her husband named for her as a birthday present (No. 98).

With her husband and dog, Jessica finds solace out in the woods--they enjoy hiking trails and kayaking on lakes in the summer. Nothing gets her more excited than being outdoors: "The quiet, the freshness, the air, the sun... it regenerates me!" Frequent strolls through Cottonwood Island Park help her to collect her thoughts and gather inspiration (No. 306).

Luckily for us, Jessica has no plans to leave anytime soon: "There's so much good here. I've had opportunities here that I don't think I would have anywhere else in the world."
