A lot of people are not too happy with your comment that you wrote that you are appalled to see the low turnout from Prince George residents and shame on them for not making this an incredible turnout. Rock festivals do not survive in our neck of the woods nor bring in large turnouts as some people hope it would especially when you have headliners such as Twisted Sister.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in my 40s and they were a good band when I was in my teens, but that's just it. They were good to see back then. I'm not going to spend my dollars to see has-been bands from the past even though it was for a good cause and I'm probably not the only one with the same opinion.

If someone wants to put on a music festival for a good cause you have to go in the direction of country with today's rising artists and today's superstars.

Rock festivals attract the youth and that's limited to a small group of people where a country approach will attract the younger and older population and have a larger turnout.

I call upon someone or group in the Prince George area to bring back a Salmon Valley kind of festival and if a festival like that where a potion of the ticket sales goes for a good cause like for the animals I would definitely buy a ticket and so will thousands (and thousands) of others and so will the artists themselves.

Just imagine Prince George back on top of the country festival scene in Canada as it was in the mid '90s (minus the Salmon Bucks) with headliners such as Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and many more.

A country festival for a good cause like that will bring in a lot of money but Woof Stock with Twisted Sister will not.
