WIDC editorial insults Prince George

Just wanted to show support for Arthur Williams and his suggestion that a Wood Innovation and Design Centre should be built in Vancouver. Why waste taxpayers dollars on anything that has even a small chance of improving Prince George? He should really talk to all the fools who want to waste time and money hosting the Canada Winter Games in a nowhere hole like P.G. "The purpose of a showcase is to show it off... somewhere where lots of people will see it - like downtown Vancouver," to quote Mr. Williams, (wouldn't want to plagiarize, that would be so uncreative and typically P.G.). So why waste a showcase like the Winter Games on some dung heap beyond Hope? With something like 70 per cent of British Columbia's tax revenue coming from the northern part of the province there is no good reason for those intelligent enough to reside in the Lower Mainland to have to tolerate tax money being wasted on projects outside of their domain (C'MON a university in P.G., really). It is high time for the people of Prince George to know their role and stick to the sort of projects that they deserve, namely social agencies and rehab centres. Perhaps Mr. Williams should consider giving his considerable talents the showcase that they deserve - might I suggest downtown Vancouver?
