We were raised in PG and have been in Alberta for 23 years now.
We come "home" for a visit at least once a year every year to visit all our family and friends. Over the past few years we have noticed the increasing decline of the overall look of the city, and especially your roads.
Council should be putting all of your property taxes where it's needed most. A very large consensus of people we talked to all said the same thing. If all your citizens have the same issues, imagine how visitors think when they come there.
The roads are horrendous and the town itself looks run down and old - its sad and embarrassing. Where is city council's pride and priorities? Where are all the tax dollars going? We still love PG, but it really hurts to come home and see it in such disrepair. Prince George is wonderful place to be, it has so much to offer and many, many of its citizens agree.
The city council should be ashamed of themselves.
