I am just wondering why the citizens of Prince George have to pay every year to license our dogs when on July 4, 2012, a female animal control officer picked up my licensed dog and instead of contacting me took her to the SPCA?
When the SPCA called me to say they had my dog they asked if animal control had contacted me and when I said no, the worker from the SPCA contacted animal control and the animal officer said she wasn't even going to call me.
Why are we paying to license our pets when the city doesn't even bring them home or contact you to let you know what's going on?
I think the city owes an explanation and serious apology and if they aren't going to contact licensed pets owners then drop the dog license law because there isn't much of a point of paying when it does nothing.
