It's in the news again about the city of PG wanting to force on us a levi to pay for storm sewer drainage based on inpervious surfaces (surfaces which do not allow water to penetrate the soil.) The water in my ditch does not flow anywhere, there are neighbours with no culverts etc, water is absorbed into the soil, the water on my property is absorbed into the soil, we have no storm sewer system, in our area, or in Hart highlands area, and many many other areas in the city limits. PG downtown in the bowl area is built on gravel, the water if given a chance will absorb directly into the ground. The highways has water drains, which are grates which are just above a pit for the water to go into and it's absorbed into the soil.
I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed any more but this is easy to understand. The city wants more of my money without offering you any services for it. If the wisdom that was used for the raising of River Road is the same as this tax, then I'm not the only one with a brain injury.
