Vote NDP to get Conservatives out of Cariboo-Prince George, reader says

If you are among the millions of Canadian who are sick of repressive laws, racist tactics, anti-evidence policies, fake surpluses, disgraceful environmental inaction, secretive politics, job-killing trade deals and corporate-profits-first economics, please think about voting strategically this time.

As you are probably aware, Cariboo-Prince George is considered one of 16 crucial swing ridings in this federal election. The only exclusively local poll has just been completed by Environics, funded by local donations.

Here are the results: NDP leads with 36 per cent; Conservatives are at 30 per cent, Liberals 29 per cent and Greens five per cent. Anything can happen in a tight race like this.

If you have been thinking of voting Liberal or Green, consider this: Stephen Harper wants you to split the vote so that his candidates can come up the middle and form another government that only one-third of Canadians want.

If you do the math, defeating the Conservatives in this riding means voting NDP because they have the best chance of winning. It's the best local action we can take for the future of Canada.
