Visitor praises beautification projects

Wow! What a wonderful surprise we had visiting our old "stomping grounds" of P.G. (1986-1996) to attend the B.C. Hydro Power Pioneers' Jamboree for four days.

Wow! What a wonderful surprise we had visiting our old "stomping grounds" of P.G. (1986-1996) to attend the B.C. Hydro Power Pioneers' Jamboree for four days. During this visit, we joined in with 150 other attendees to walk the downtown area and tour all around your wonderful city.

Prince George citizens and businesses are deserving of sincere praise in many ways.

Your efforts at beautifying the downtown area were easily noticed and much appreciated. We witnessed gorgeous baskets, flowers in beds and containers and trees in abundance; colourful murals; spotless streets, parking lots and alleys and well-maintained storefronts.

We also noticed the recent construction of stunning residential and commercial buildings and facilities. The architecture of so many new structures from the RCMP building to the replica bridge in Cottonwood Park was impressive. The Town Centre is fantastic and we also enjoyed the Saturday market.

All the Hydro retirees who organized the Gold Rush Jamboree are to be commended for doing a marvellous job. P.G. has so many amenities and those like us who are ex-residents and others from all over B.C. had a great time enjoying them,

Keep up the great work!
