Your opinion piece that Alberta has export permit laws for oil and natural gas and could reduce the flow of energy to B.C. in a protracted dispute over the Enbridge Pipeline expansion is interesting. The geographic zone of B.C. Coastal oil potential includes Vancouver Harbour. If lower mainland residents do not want Alberta oil perhaps they could set up a drilling platform in Vancouver Harbour and look for their own oil source. While they are at that, they could cover the North Shore Mountains with windmills to source their own electricity.
