I have had a broken swivel chair that I needed to get rid of. I phoned city hall and asked where could I get someone to take it away for me, and she said the Foothills landfill and if it weighs under 100 pounds, it only costs $6.
I thought it would have cost more and I would have paid the extra money just so it was gone and I was not injured using a broken chair.
I contacted friends and her husband and grandson came and picked up the chair and I gave them the cost of taking the chair to the landfill, plus extra money.
I find it very sad that people get rid of their old large contents and just dump it into the bush someplace.
I may be safe in saying some people will pay more for cigarettes or alcohol than what it costs to take their garbage to the Foothills landfill.
