The Carrie Underwood concert was awesome to say the least. She rocked the building then some. I had a great time, however with that being said, I had several issues with how the traffic was handled not only coming into, but leaving the concert. For such a major event you would think traffic control would be a priority, but it is not.
I only saw three traffic-control personnel and only at the four-way. I also read that it took 30 minutes to empty the parking lot. I sure would like to know where this person got that from. I got to my vehicle at 9:45 p.m. and finally got to pull into the line of traffic at 9:55 I made it to the access road at 10:15 and up to the four-way stop at 10:30. I finally left CN Centre at 10:42. It took almost a full hour for me to leave.
There was a ton of security present, which was great, but maybe some thought should also be given to better traffic control. It is definitely not the easiest place to get out of, but it would save a lot of frustration if proper traffic control was out there for major events and get the traffic moving at a better pace. It is almost always the single most common complaint at any event at CN Centre.
