Apparently, the faculty at UNBC have now determined that they alone have the moral political authority to appoint a chancellor.
The photograph of several faculty on the front page of the
Dec. 1 edition of the Citizen, three of them with their arms folded across their chests, a recognized expression of aggression and superiority, should be an embarrassment to them.
Tell us about your credentials, your research, your affiliations that enable you to have the certainty that your political positions should be paramount in this discussion.
So much for openness, intellectual freedom and alternate thinking that is supposed to suffuse a university campus, let alone a political leaning that is not in keeping with correct thinking.
These people have one agenda - their own. There is no room for any other thought, and, as we have noted repeatedly recently in Canada, this is especially true on the politically correct university campuses of Canada.
