Traffic lights needed on Ferry

Once again, last night, I am looking out my window at all the traffic on Ferry Avenue. Another accident has happened at the corner of Ferry Avenue and Highway 16 West.

Why doesn't the city finish installing the traffic lights at the intersection of Ferry & Ospika? Every time there is an accident at the corner of Ferry and Highway 16 or Peden Hill is too icy for the truckers to make it up the hill, we are deluged with traffic playing Russian Roulette trying to make that left turn onto Ospika as the only alternate route up the hill.

I can't believe the city would install lights at the new intersection behind Canadian Tire and Home Depot but you don't have the foresight to install them on a corner such as this. On the occasions that Highway 16 is blocked for one reason or another I have seen the traffic lined up all the way back to Superstore from Ospika. Come on people, give your head a shake and get these lights installed before someone is killed at this corner.
