It is all well and good for Council to amend the snow and ice control procedures. The problem has been that the bylaws have not been enforced.
Snow removal equipment operators need to be expected and empowered by the City staff, to call towing services when vehicles are parked in contravention to the bylaws.
That would allow for clean and thorough plowing as opposed to the practice of plowing around these vehicles which creates piles of snow on the roads which turn into the roller coasters we have experienced in the past.
