In regards to the Prince George SPCA.
This letter is written in support of the Prince George SPCA. As a volunteer dog walker, I have repeatedly observed a kind, caring attitude towards the many volunteers and animals.
The women and men who work there have been very welcoming. They know the animals in their care. Since the second day of arrival, the dogs and cats are assessed for future placement or extended care.
In talking to one of the staff members, I was surprised to hear that last year, hundreds of dogs were transferred to other areas in B.C. for adoption.
Besides the veterinarian bills, this is a huge cost and must require hours of negotiations. I sincerely believe the full-time employees work diligently to provide the best possible environment and placement for all the displaced animals.
In closing, a big heartfelt thanks to all the hard-working people at the Prince George SPCA.
