Time to step back and take a serious look

I am sorry, Christy Clark, but we all know that there will not, and cannot, be any guarantees from Enbridge (or even from God) that there will be no oil spills. Plus, no amount of money can compensate, if and when it happens.

I am sorry, Christy Clark, but we all know that there will not, and cannot, be any guarantees from Enbridge (or even from God) that there will be no oil spills. Plus, no amount of money can compensate, if and when it happens.

We in British Columbia, with our fragile ecosystems and pristine areas cannot gamble on this. An oil spill anywhere in our Province is just unacceptable. Those huge oil tankers added to an already busy west coast corridor will be just waiting for a disaster to happen. Then we will see Enbridge walk away and never look back.

Perhaps we need to take a step back and start to seriously think about a future for our children and grandchildren.

Surely they mean more to us than all the empty dreams of prosperity. It hasn't worked so far. The hard cold facts are that we, here in B.C., will gain nothing from this pipeline, except for maybe a few temporary jobs. However, we have much to lose. No amount of money will be worth the risks involved.
