Time for a pothole rhyme

Instead of lamenting on later, the bargains I had missed, I decided to drive to the Mall with my shopping list. I hadn't driven far when I saw a pothole on my right - Before I could swerve to miss it, another came in sight.

Instead of lamenting on later, the bargains I had missed,

I decided to drive to the Mall with my shopping list.

I hadn't driven far when I saw a pothole on my right -

Before I could swerve to miss it, another came in sight.

My dismay increased when, as far as I could see,

the road was full of potholes, just waiting there for me.

Now it became a contest to see what would win -

fender, paint job, wheel-tires and the rim.

Cursing them or wishing will not make them go away -

so drive around them, if you can, for they are here to stay.
