Dear Mr. Godbout, in the interests of beautifying our planet while doing service to your advertising pages, I make the following proposition: I suggest the establishment of a fund to be used for the purchase of that butt-ugly and god-awful "throne" which has graced your advertising pages since time immemorial.
We would then use said "throne" as the centre piece of a bonfire where we would dedicate the ashes to the beautification of the planet in general and the Prince George Citizen in particular.
Perhaps you would personally be interested in contributing to this worthy cause.

Editor's Note: The throne ad has run in The Citizen's classifieds since Feb. 3, 2015. The ad was bought under a "we'll run it until it's sold" promotion and we're keeping our end of the bargain. I have no need for a throne (or interest in burning expensive furniture) but I've often thought the publisher should have one in her office.
