MP Dick Harris called Wednesday to clarify the editorial in Tuesday's Citizen (Where's Dick?) that commented on the absence of Harris in an ad that appeared in the Vancouver Sun featuring the B.C. Conservative caucus.
The group ad was not arranged by the federal office but the provincial office of the Conservative Party with each MP expected to contribute towards the cost of the ad, Harris explained. His absence from the ad was not a mistake.
"I've been in most of them in the past but with cutbacks to our budgets, I've decided that I don't run advertising in markets other than my own."
Fair enough.
