The decline of society

Is it just me or have you seen it to? It's amazing a golf course has a quad driver tear up parts of its course, a defacing of a public area by painted graffiti, disrespectful kids giving you the finger.

People may utter the eternal word "Why?" Well it is our social structure.

Long gone are the days when a parent disciplines his/her child. The government or social group has a better way, and it will show you how to do it right.

Long gone are the days when a parent was to instill on his/her children morals, pride and a sense of accomplishment. These are supposed to be taught in school, or at a sporting event.

How many parents have had one of there children say "You can't do that to me, I will just phone this number"?

How many parents have kids that believe "You brought me into this world, now you got to pay for me"?

Try giving your kid a swat on the butt in a public place and see the looks you will get.

Maybe we should have children shipped off to a government or social institution for the first 18 years, then they would come out perfect. Or they may be just as messed up as those to institutions are.

Does anyone out there know if they are allowed to fail a child in school? Seems to me we would rather have a child feel that it is fair then to give him/her a proper education.

When a six-year-old participates in a sport there is no score recorded so that it is fair. What happened to competitiveness and sportsmanship? When I was a kid growing up, a lot of the skills I needed to get by when I was an adult were taught to me by my parents, my teachers and the sports I played, organized or not.

Now we are shown fairness. I don't believe this helps set up your children for the real world, because the world and life itself can be unfair.

Society and governments are setting us up for the big fall, it is no longer a society where hard work, good morals, respect, and intelligence will get you ahead. But one of entitlement. You will only have to expect it, for it to come true.
