Thanks for the potholes

I would like to thank the City of Prince George for making me change my driving route. I return home on Fifth Avenue and used to turn onto Nicholson Street, as that is the street I live on.

I would like to thank the City of Prince George for making me change my driving route.

I return home on Fifth Avenue and used to turn onto Nicholson Street, as that is the street I live on. But because of the "war zone" deterioration of the road I am no longer able to safely drive that way.

And as previous writers have found out, any damage to my tires/car is not considered the fault/responsibility of the city. I now turn one block prior to Nicholson.

I had held some faint hope that this year the city would actually replace this road instead of repairing it (or doing nothing). To my dismay, I noticed today the city is again filling the holes in which, at very best, is a temporary (and unsatisfactory) solution to the problem. As they are filling in the holes, I must again assume the road will not be resurfaced.

I would advise anybody wishing to "go green" and start riding a bike not to use Nicholson Street from Second Avenue to Fifth Avenue as the city may not be responsible for any injuries you receive or damage to your bike.
