Thanks for the good deeds

Being a single mother of two isn't easy. I needed to get some groceries, and my 10-year-old son wasn't feeling well. I couldn't leave him at home so I took him with me.

Being a single mother of two isn't easy. I needed to get some groceries, and my 10-year-old son wasn't feeling well. I couldn't leave him at home so I took him with me.

My mom was going to sit outside with him while I rushed around to get what food I could, and I'd hoped that he would be OK.

My mom just had her heart worked on (thanks to her family doctor, the specialist the great people at PGRH and St. Paul's in Vancouver), so I couldn't leave them alone together for too long.

Just as I was going through the till, which was about 10 or 15 minutes later. My mom came in with my son who was in tears because of his upset stomach.

A gentleman had bought him two bottles of ginger-ale and gave $10 for them to take a cab home. A lady and her son had offered a ride to the hospital. All outside the dollar store in Parkwood Place.

I really don't know what else to say but thank you all for your kindness and generosity, it really meant a lot to us and I hope you know that this good deed hasn't gone unappreciated.

I wish I could do more.
