Having been a resident of Prince George for 40 plus years I seem to recall for the most part that no matter what part of the city or what gas station you visited the price of gas per liter was consistently the same throughout, unlike Edmonton. The fuel prices in Prince George have frequently appeared high in comparison to smaller neighbouring communities to the south. I am confused as to why this would be the case when we have an oil refinery in our own community minimizing transportation costs. Until recently this observation has had some validity. With the recent opening of the Costco gas bar it has become evident that our community has been paying far too much for gasoline.
I would like to encourage our community to support Costco not only at their gas bar but their store as well. The annual fuel savings that Costco has brought to the citizens of Prince George more than pays for an annual Costco membership. My loyalties will continue to remain with Costco. Thank you for bringing fuel prices in line.
