I participated in the "monkey business family workshop" at Two Rivers Art Gallery this past weekend with my children. We had our facilitator/artist Tracey from Victoria to teach us how to make a sock monkey using recycled materials, such as old sweaters and buttons. This fun afternoon activity showed us not only a wonderful way of recycling unused items but also that you can use and make anything from everything with your creativity and imagination. It was such a great way to show my children how to be good to our environment as well. We are so fortunate to have such a great place like the art gallery in our community. If we didn't have one, we probably wouldn't be able to have the artist come up and show us the fun side of creativity. I am very thankful to have easy access to the facility with reasonable costs. I just want to tell members of our community that we live in a wonderful community with wonderful facilities we deserve to enjoy, because we sure do and so should you.
