My family and I would like to take this opportunity to thank some special people in the Prince George community.
Last week we received an envelope in the mail from Ed and June Gamble with a note and a cheque inside. We were quite happily surprised as the cheque came from the proceeds held at the Beaverly Community dance/fundraiser and was earmarked specifically for families of
Lakeland Mills.
We were lucky in the fact that our husband/father wasn't injured in the blast that horrible night but have felt the economic pinch of losing the main income in our household.
The Beaverly Community felt the proceeds from the dance would be best used by dividing up the total amount raised (over $11,000) and sending a cheque to each individual family.
So a huge thank you to the organizers and sponsors of this dance. It really meant a lot to us to see the immediate effects of community spirit being delivered right to our door.
