Thank you and goodbye

I am saddened by the passing of Keith Marcellais formerly of P.G., (now in Surrey), as it was he and Winnie Marcellais (built the P.G. Native Centre) who helped me through my grad year 1971 and into a career.

I am saddened by the passing of Keith Marcellais formerly of P.G., (now in Surrey), as it was he and Winnie Marcellais (built the P.G. Native Centre) who helped me through my grad year 1971 and into a career. I was very close with both of them and we slowly drifted apart.

The years have gone by, but I always have a prayer in my heart for these two people who helped shape me into a decent human and caring person! I can say that with pride!

Keith was always the quite partner but the one who stood firm on any decisions made.

We were a family at that time! I was just a boarder in the house but one of the family.

Winnie (aka Pierre) and I would get into trouble in P.G. because we said what no one wanted to say more hear... the truth, about a people (natives) who had little leadership and most of it's (the people) strengths, were underground.

Natives were looked down upon and we brought about that initial change, to be recognized as strong human beings who did contribute a lot to this Canadian way of life. Many a white pioneer would of been dead if it wasn't for the leadership of our native grandparents.

We were never accepted unless we were extraordinary and we assimilated into non Native culture. Keith, Winnie and I and our friend's made these changes in P.G. we made the city grow-up. That we all can be proud of.

Rest in peace Keith, walk into the light, your work is done here on Earth! Walk on the breath of your grand arents into the Arms of Jesus.

Your adopted son,

Bob Sebastian
