Thank you

Thank you Prince George firefighters for going above and beyond during the first Rooftop Campout for Muscular Dystrophy.

Thank you Prince George firefighters for going above and beyond during the first Rooftop Campout for Muscular Dystrophy. This event is unique to Prince George and saw five firefighters go up on the roof of Canadian Tire for 48 hours to raise funds for those of us affected by neuromuscular disorders.

Thank you to our distinguished dignitaries, MLA Shirley Bond and acting mayor, city councilor Albert Koehler, for the kind words and support and to Canadian Tire for accommodating a roof top camp out.

Thanks to all the sponsors and the public that supported, promoted and donated to make this event a success.

The firefighters raised more than $12,000 during the event and are already planning the second annual Rooftop Campout for next year.

Special thanks to Ian Provan, MDC firefighter advisor for B.C, Shane Lapierre MDC Fire Fighter Chairman, the Prince George Fire Fighter Honour Guard, and especially the brave firefighter campers, Mike Stachoski, Shane Lapierre (again!), Jeremy Kostyshyn, Clayton Sheen and Wayne Weis. You are our heroes. Thank you for making muscles move.

Sincerely,

Susan Andrist, Marlene Carkner and all of us in the northern B.C Chapter of Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
