Telus service, or lack of it, inexcusable

Telus has been performing work on Upper Mud River Road over the past few months upgrading phone lines to the new poles.

A week-and-a-half ago we started experiencing problems on two of our business lines, one of which is our fax line. These lines are extremely noisy and are not usable for voice and will not allow for transmission or receipt of faxes. As a business we pay a total of $2,000 per month for phone and yellow pages with Telus, that is $24,000 per year for our phone service. Telus informed us that they could not fix our problem until Oct. 6. Our trouble ticket was also "escalated" by a manager..... whatever that means.

Huber Farm Equipment has been in business for more than 32 years. This is by far the worst customer service we have received from Telus over our 32-year business relationship with Telus (BC Tel). When speaking to the escalation manager he said, I am doing you a favour by trying to find a solution."

Really! We are in need of working phone lines not favours. We have taken the steps to contact the CRTC to launch a formal complaint. I would suggest that others experiencing the same lack of service by this company also contact the CRTC.
