So we are led to believe by Rabbi Dan Moscovitz that "the Syrians are taught to fear and hate Israel, to fear and hate... Jews."
Really? Where is this taught? Who does the teaching? Might it not be the Israelis themselves who are the teachers? It is them who have stolen land from the Syrians, the Golan Heights, and have refused to give it back in violation of the Geneva Convention and of many UN resolutions.
Meanwhile, Israel who shares a border with Syria and is next door to this horrific conflict has refused to take in any refugees.
Lebanon, a tiny country immediately to the north of Israel, has taken in
1.1 million refugees, Jordan has taken in 1.4 million, Turkey 1.9 million.
Indeed Israel has built an even higher wall on the border. They have however helped approximately 1,000 Syrians injured in the fighting but as soon as they were able, they were taken back across the border.
Too bad that the Israelis could not follow the lead of the congregation of Vancouver's Temple Sholom.
