I am a parent of a child who attends Central Fort George traditional school. I am writing my school trustees with hopes that you continue to support our traditional school program.
I am thankful that our trustees support choice programs and that the board is open to suggestions for keeping our choice schools. In a perfect world our traditional program will remain at the school of Central Fort George. It was only a few years ago that the school district and school trustees approved the addition of the traditional school program. Why is our program being taken away from us?
I believe in the traditional program because it focuses on more than just academics. Central Fort George traditional elementary school is a special community that fosters the growth of all students intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially, and I believe that it is worth saving.
Please reconsider eliminating the traditional school format from school district 57.
Board chair, Mr. Lyn Hall, spoke that the board of trustees needed to hear from Central Fort George, however our school is small and we need your help. I am asking former parents and students of Central Fort George to write the school trustees, we need to hear your stories. Our school trustees need to take notice of your support.
