On behalf of the Prince George Hospice Society, I am writing to thank so many people for supporting our Dream Home Lottery sales especially in the last three weeks when we called for support. Prince George citizens responded to our call and came in droves to buy last minute and repeat tickets.
The media were supportive and promoted our news. Word of mouth was spread by keen supporters.
Our thanks goes out to every business which allowed us to set up sales tables in their premises, sold tickets at their work sites; our hotline ticket seller RePlay, all the media people who worked with us; volunteer and paid ticket sellers; groups who invited us to their meetings; individuals who sold large and small amounts of our tickets; and the ticket buyers.
A special thank you to Margaret Watson Brevik of Embellish interior design who selects all the items for the house and turns it into a true Dream Home.
Also great gratitude to the businesses who donated prizes to the project; and Marnie Martin of Rise Construction for building all three of the beautiful Dream Homes for us. Marnie brought the idea of a Dream Home lottery to us.
And we thank all the volunteers who did a variety of jobs to support the project including our Board members who pitched in with sales.
Prince George is an awesome place to live and that is why our city has the first free standing hospice house in British Columbia. It could not have happened in 1995 without the support of all donors along with Northern Health, the Rotary Clubs, all Service Clubs, and Board members of the Society at the time.
Once again, our huge thank you to all.
Donalda Carson, Executive Director,
