We would like to thank the community of Beaverly and the people of Prince George for their overwhelming support on Sunday Jan. 6 at the Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction held at the Beaverly Volunteer Fire Hall.
We would also like to thank Frank Peebles and the Citizen for the wonderful article regarding our son, David. There were over 500 people in attendance for this event and about 180 auction items donated. The generosity of our Prince George businesses, friends and neighbours combined with the endless hugs, well wishes and prayers was astounding.
The greatest gift of this event was the way we all seemed to be caught up in the exhilaration, the
positive energy, emanating from everyone. We have so many friends but perhaps even more uplifting was the number of people we didn't know who came to share stories of remarkable recoveries by their family members.
We want to thank Brenda Colebrook, Sandy Milne and the Beaverly Volunteer Fire Dept. for all of
their hard work to create this very heartwarming event and bringing our great community together to do what they do best - support families through challenging times. Thanks also to Dave Milne for sharing memories of this day with David, by creating a special CD of photographs. Thanks to the Beaverly Community and Prince George for caring about our family. A special thanks from David and his fiance, Kacie Halonen, for all of your support and encouragement.
David was moved to G F. Strong on January 9, 2013, he has settled in well and has a positive
attitude towards the next stage of his recovery.
