In light of the recent fire activity and the daily and sometimes hourly updates on weather you would think people would be smarter about smoking and open fires. The open fires are not an issue right now due to the burning ban but the smokers are a different story altogether.
It is known that several fires this year have been started by discarded lit cigarettes and cigars yet people who indulge in their habit should know not to throw away lit butts especially out vehicle windows yet they still do it and every time they do there is a chance that it will start a fire.
Over the past several days, I have seen so many people flick their butts out their vehicle windows it makes me wonder if they have enough brain power to smoke and think at the same time.
Please do your part and think before you flick.
