I am deeply disturbed and saddened by the decision of The Citizen to run this story on Trevor Scott.
In this situation, Mr. Scott has been given no voice - he has not been charged with anything - an allegation was made. By whom, we have no idea.
There is no way of saying that the allegation is credible. Anyone could make an allegation of this nature against anyone in a helping profession. It could come from someone who is completely unstable.
Does that mean anytime anyone makes an allegation, without any investigation, a massage therapist can be disciplined by his/her college and then the allegation can be plastered in the media? This young man is a human being. His life, his career, his family are all real and affected by this.
The whole system of investigating something like this needs to be reviewed. Trevor Scott's story is missing here. This is a tragedy - media sensationalism at the cost of a young man's reputation.
