Drivers who maintain that they have every right to travel in the left-hand lane on the highway if they are doing the speed limit may be in for a big shock when they are ticketed for doing so.
As of June 12, the rules for driving in the left-hand lane have been clarified and failure to comply can result in a penalty of a $167 fine and three penalty points.
Those that persist in maintaining that they have every right to left-hand lane travel under some misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the driving regulations could no doubt contribute to safer highway travel by keeping abreast of the current driving regulations.
