For the past five years, I have gone to the Remembrance Day service a the Civic Centre alone as my husband Pete, a veteran of the Second World War, is no longer able to attend. He is a patient in Jubilee Lodge.
Every year I have to take a cab to and from the Civic Centre, as there is no city bus service on Remembrance Day or on any other holiday.
I hope the driver of P.G. Taxi Service sees this letter of thanks, for not charging the fare down to the Centre on Sunday. What a special thing for him to do.
