Well, when I heard that Omi had a song called Cheerleader it confused me a bit. You see, in German Omi is an affectionate way to say grandmother.
So why would a grandmother need a cheerleader I asked myself? And then of course, off I went on my own tangent, thinking about how proud I am to be a grandmother to two incredibly perfect wee ones.
And of course now I am the cheerleader in my best granny style. If you've seen me at my best you would know that some people say all that's missing in my enthusiasm is the pom poms because I do tend to go overboard on the enthusiasm when someone needs a bit of encouragement or has accomplished a goal around me.
But I think that's a good thing because why underplay a special occasion if you can be the exact opposite and go over the top!
But, as usual, I am way off topic. So back to the song by Omi called Cheerleader. It's a lovely tune with swaying rhythms to get this grandma groovin' as this lovely young man sings about how he has his lady in his corner and she is all he needs despite temptation around him.
