Prince George, it's coming. The forecast says it's going to be a whopping 30 degrees over the weekend, so summertime feelings always follow.

Time to blow up the floaties, take a dip in the lake, fire up the barbecue or gather round the campfire for some hot dogs and toasted marshmallows.

Fishing, hiking, taking a long walk off a short dock, it's all those things that make the greatest summer memories. I'm going to try my hand at kayaking - again - this year because we've got two sitting in the shed gathering pollen. It's not quite in my wheelhouse. I grew up in a canoe with my butt resting on a seat and my feet stuffed underneath me, not right out in front of me, so that's always been an uncomfortable feeling but I will try, try again, as they say to see how I can move myself on top of the water instead of being in it for a change! (I loved to swim.)

Please enjoy this classic called In the Summertime by the band Mungo Jerry, written by lead singer Ray Dorset. In 1970 this snappy little ditty topped the charts world wide and is currently on YouTube with more than 25 million hits - because it's that good! Visit: youtu.be/wvUQcnfwUUM.
